Currently there is a lot of research about diets for heart conditions, hypertension, diabetes, immune system, cancer prevention. Luckily for us, these diets all come to similar conclusions. Cut out the fats, cut out the sugars, avoid fried foods, eat whole grains, eat fresh fruit daily, eat vegetables daily, include nuts and other sources of omega 3-6-9 oils, eat wild fish, eat beans, lentils and sufficient protein.

New research supplies strong evidence that the majority of Canadians are vitamin D deficient. Vitamin D only comes from sun exposure or from supplements. The problem has been worsened by over use of sun screens. All Canadians should take a vitamin D supplement from November to April and get safe sun exposure during the summer.
